Meet the Doctor

Dr. Brian Balbon, the owner and treating doctor of Bay Vista Chiropractic, grew up in Canada. His undergraduate degree and prior work experience included structural engineering. After turning his attention to chiropractic healthcare he attended Western States Chiropractic College, which is known for its wholistic approach to healthcare. He started practicing in San Francisco in 1989. As a qualified medical evaluator he has had to do extensive reports for determination of work related issues. Similarly, he has been asked to appear as an expert witness in auto injury cases. Dr. Balbon collaborates with other doctors regarding patient care.

Community Activities

Dr. Balbon has been very active in the community doing lectures on healthcare for various organizations. Prior to coming to San Francisco in 1989 he was a facility chiropractor at Gold’s Gym in San Bernadino, California. He continues to treat athletes including some members of the San Francisco State University wrestling team.

Continuing Education

In the last few years Dr. Balbon has continued to expand his expertise and knowledge. He has attended an herbal medicine program through the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy and a nutrition diplomat program through Parker Chiropractic College. He has also had extensive training on the latest in rehabilitative evaluation and treatment through Southern California University of Health Sciences.

Recreationally, Dr. Balbon participates in sports such as hockey and cycling.

Why I am a doctor of Chiropractic

Because I desire to help the newborn, the aged, and those without hope. Because I choose to care for the patient with the desease, not the desease. Because I wish to assist rather than intrude; to free rather than control. Because I seek to correct the cause, not its effect. Because I know doctors do not heal, only the body can heal itself. Because I have been called to serve others. Because I want to make a difference.
